Job Responsibilities
- Provides position classification, position management, and pay administration services.
- Participates in peer panels as a Human Resources representative and providing appropriate documentation.
- Provides resource advice and technical interpretation on staffing and classification human resources regulations, rules, practices and programs to employees, special investigators, and as necessary, the general public.
- Provides technical advice and counsel to management officials on the interpretation and application of various personnel regulations, laws, rules and procedures.
- Prepares Merit Promotion and Delegated Examining vacancy announcements, job analyses, evaluation of candidates, coordinating of ad-hoc panels, arranging for subject matter experts, issuing certificate of eligible, and making job offers.
- Administers all placement activities for assigned organizational areas including new hires, promotions, reassignments, incentives, details, downgrades, etc.
- Assures special employment needs are met under various programs, i.e., employment of disabled, student employment, VRA, Inter-governmental Personnel Act (IPA), consultants, under-represented groups
